Today, I am thrilled to share that we are emerging from stealth with $20 million raised from a fantastic group of investors, including Homebrew, Stage 2 Capital, Wing VC, Underscore VC, Active Capital, Collide Capital, Path Ventures, and Intuitive Truth Ventures. Prominent angel investors, including celebrity chef Tom Colicchio, founder of Behance Scott Belsky, and top executives from Snap, Zoom, and others participated. We are honored to have the support of some of the world’s most strategic technology investors and operators and we are incredibly excited that they share our vision of empowering restaurant and retail operators with voice AI.
This milestone is a strong endorsement of our vision, but this is just the beginning for us.
Slang AI has always been driven by the belief that AI can enhance and elevate the customer experience and that business need an easier way to access this powerful technology. With this funding, we are poised to bring the power of voice AI to restaurants and retailers , empowering them to provide exceptional service to callers, streamline operations, and create unforgettable dining moments for their guests.
Everyone is frustrated with the experience of calling a business. No one likes waiting on hold with an airline for hours or calling their local restaurant to make a last minute reservation and having their call go straight to voicemail. It doesn't have to be this way. AI has the potential to fix this broken experience, and Slang AI is bringing AI to the phone with it’s easy-to-use software product designed for restaurants and other retail businesses. Slang’s voice services seamlessly onboards with existing calling systems, enabling businesses to answer more calls with accuracy and brand consistency.
We firmly believe that AI will unlock customer experiences better than we ever thought possible.
With the emergence of generative AI, businesses are searching for real-world applications for this powerful technology. For decades, customers have experienced the frustrating process of calling a business and being put on hold in order to make a new appointment or say they’re running late for a reservation. Now, there is a better way. We’re excited to help businesses use this technology to dramatically improve the phone experience, helping them serve their customers better than they ever thought possible.
With the support of our investors and partners, we are poised for rapid growth and innovation. The $20 million Series A funding will enable us to scale our team and expand into additional industry verticals. This infusion of capital also allows us to make investments in new integrations, such as with reservation management platforms, and build more advanced product capabilities powered by generative AI.
To our customers, team, investors, and the entire extended Slang AI community, thank you for believing in us. We are excited to embark on this transformative journey and create a future where every business can harness the power of voice AI to deliver remarkable experiences to their guests.
Stay tuned for updates as we launch on this exciting chapter in our company's story.
Sincerely,
Alex Sambvani
