Celebrating One Year of Slang AI + OpenTable: Elevating Guest Experiences with Voice AI

Today, we’re celebrating a huge milestone: one year of Slang AI’s official partnership with OpenTable! Over the past year, we’ve worked together to deliver frictionless, voice AI–powered guest experiences, making it easier than ever for diners to book OpenTable reservations seamlessly, anytime, anywhere.

From booking to canceling, our integration allows guests to make reservations directly over the phone, no staff needed. Paired with Slang AI’s unique cross-selling capabilities, guests can easily snag a table at a sister restaurant if a reservation at their first-choice restaurant isn’t available, all completely over the phone.

And the best part? We’re just getting started.

Why This Partnership Matters

Guest expectations are always evolving. Seasoned operators know that flexibility, resilience, and adaptability are crucial to keeping up. Reservation management software has become the norm for a reason: it simplifies the process for both guests and staff and boosts front-of-house efficiency, which is the top reason owners and operators look to invest in a solution like ours.

That’s why our partnership with OpenTable is so powerful. OpenTable is one of the most trusted reservation platforms in the industry, relied on by thousands of restaurants and venues worldwide. Pair that with Slang AI —the top voice AI built for restaurants—and you’ve got a game-changing solution.

Customer DineAmic Hospitality Drives 10X ROI With the OpenTable Integration
In the past year, our customers have seen massive efficiency gains with the OpenTable x Slang integration. They were able to save their staff over 750 hours in labor through the integration’s automated reservation flows. The added bonus for Chicago-based hospitality group, DineAmic Hospitality, was that they drove 10X ROI and were able to see revenue-generation of over $100K in a single month.

DineAmic Hospitality had originally turned to Slang AI’s OpenTable integration to solve a costly challenge: over half a million missed calls a year. Instead of an expensive call center, DineAmic deployed Slang AI to handle guest calls 24/7, seamlessly booking and modifying reservations in OpenTable while easing the burden on staff. The impact was immediate—more than 30,000 calls fully managed through Slang AI in just over two months. What’s more, a whopping 31% of their bookings came in after-hours, representing bookings they otherwise would not have been able to capture without Slang AI in place, all while delivering a 98% caller satisfaction score.

‍

Looking Ahead

We’ve seen how powerful this partnership can be for restaurants and their guests—and we’re not stopping here. We’re continuing to partner with OpenTable’s product teams to build additional functionality on top of an already robust integration. The Slang AI team is expected to deliver a forthcoming enhancement that will allow your guests to hear about available OpenTable Experiences, directly over the phone, so you can continue to raise the bar on the guest experience.

‍

Here’s to many more years of innovation, collaboration, and seamless dining experiences.
